Arizona Hawk

from $105.00

In the Dryburgh area of the Scottish Borders, the bird locals often refer to as an "Arizona hawk" is actually a Harris's hawk (Parabuteo unicinctus). Native to the Americas, particularly the southwestern United States and Central and South America, Harris's hawks are known for their cooperative hunting behavior and adaptability. Although they are not native to Scotland, Harris's hawks are commonly used in falconry worldwide, which explains their presence in the region.
